This ones a tag by Swati on Dreams untold.
I dream when I am awake, I dream when I sleep, I dream when I am traveling. If I am not talking, not on the laptop, not writing code, then I am dreaming. I will confine this post to dreams while fast asleep..

This one is the weirdest of all. I was working for this startup where once we had a major release scheduled. Nearing the release, there was an unresolved issue which had no pattern to it and was driving us nuts. We stayed up until 1:00am, still couldn’t resolve the issue. After realizing that our brains had stopped functioning, team decided to take few hours break to come back refreshed in the morning. Here comes the dream of the night. The bits and bytes of colorful code was stolen by a rickshaw man. He had all the code in a basket and was cycling away. followed by me screaming – We have a release tomorrow. Please give my code back..

This one I dream often.
I am running really fast gasping for breath and fall into a tunnel. I wake up sweating…
——
Nothing remotely close to this has ever happened to me, yet this one I dream often.
Some guy enters our house(a tiny weeny house from my early childhood). This guy is not a robber, he just wants to stab me. Thats all. He is searching for me through the streets and reaches my house. I hide in the storage area built on the top. I cannot breathe or make any noise, else this guy will find me. So, far he hasn’t been able to stab me
, but every time I have woke up from this dream I have felt the pain.
——
The latest of all.
When Dlittle was about a month old, I skipped one cycle of nursing and diaper change. Why? Because I did all that in the dream
So glad, it happened only once.
——
Edited: Forgot the fun part to tag others. Maybe I did in my dream.

The rickshaw guy running away with the piece of code was simply hilarious!!!!

Yup. Lesson learnt – Never sleep with an unresolved issue

LOL! I sure seem to remember that last dream of yours! LOLLLL!

I got to remove all traces of this dream before Dlittle is old enough to read it

My question – did the cyclewallah give u the code back finally??? lol. Many of us still get dreams related to childhood..
——
TP, not sure. I woke up panting before the dream could take a logical end
[Reply]
hahahahaha…loved the first one ..a typical IT professional
And the stabbing one is scary ..good to know you always saved your life.
——
Yeah, the stabbing one is scary and I feel the pain long after I wake up. And for some reason, this dream repeats every now and then.. I hope does not happen in real time.

Ha Ha Ha !! The rickshawalla stealing bits and bytes – that too in a basket was hilarious
) Did you manage to get the code back – hmmm …. maybe it will happen in another dream
)
BTW – do you dream in colour or black & white ? And no – I am not trying to pull your leg – it is a serious question.
——
Gauri, you got me thinking there. Experts believe dreams are always in black and white. I can’t say for sure, as my recollection of this dream says the code in the basket was somewhat like those colorful post it notes gone through a paper shredder. OR, maybe its just an analogy I drew! Gosh, how weird..

ha ha quite funny….and I lurrrrv that cool header

Hey Rbdans,
Most of my dreams (at least the ones I remember when I wake up is usually in the nightmare category! I’ll do the tag soon
LOL on the diaper change and feed in the dream. And the rickshawalla stealing your code, that is very funny- shows that you are a sincere employee!
You put me in a fix now
——
Sincere employee huh? I need to have my ex-boss talk to you.
As for the tag, lets see the nightmares…

rb,
I had a dreamless night
Hence I haven’t done my homework..
——
No excuses pl. If you don’t dream at night, then write about day dreaming. LOL

lol
Yups.. rickshawala was too funny!
Being in Mumbai, my most frequent dream is that I missed my 9:19 local hehehe.
——
Thats funny

That stabbing dream is REALLY scary. You say you feel the pain afterwards, what sort of pain is this? Do you think the dream is brought about by some physical pain – like PMS cramps for eg. rather than the other way around? I don’t think phyical discomfort following a dream is trivial….but then, I tend to take everything in life seriously!
——
Parul, there are many instances where I have felt the pain afterwards. Heavy breathing, sweating etc..
You bring up an interesting point though, if physical pain attributes to such dreams. Not sure. I will sure make a note of it next time.
